Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
To qualify, candidates must have at least a middle standard education (8th grade) & not more than a 10+2 education from a recognized School Education Board. More than that? Not qualified. This ensures the right folks fill these spots.
Age Limit
Applicants should be between:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years as of September 20, 2024
Certain categories get age relaxations:
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD): +10 years above the upper age limit.
- Ex-Servicemen: Extra age limit equals their service term plus 3 years.
Punjab and Haryana High Court Selection Process
The selection process has two main parts:
- Written Test:
- Features 50 multiple-choice questions.
- Covers general knowledge, awareness, current affairs, and numerical ability.
- Each question is worth 2 marks.
- Duration of the test? About an hour & a half. No negative marking.
- To move forward, general category folks need at least 50% & reserved category candidates need at least 45%.
- Physical Endurance Test:
- Includes an 800-meter race, long jump, and high jump.
- Must pass all events based on age-specific parameters. It’s a qualifying test.

Here’s how much you need to shell out for the application:
- General and SC/ST/BC from other states: ₹700
- SC/ST/BC of Punjab, Haryana, and U.T. Chandigarh: ₹600
- Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Disabilities (PWD): ₹600
Candidates who depend on ex-servicemen disabled or deceased in action are exempt from paying this fee!
